Star Citizen
A highly ambitious and sprawling space simulation game, developed and published by Cloud Imperium Games, led by Chris Roberts, the creator of the Wing Commander series. It’s known for its crowd-funded development, which is one of the largest in the history of video games. The game aims to combine multiple video game genres, including space, trading, and first-person shooter elements, in a massively multiplayer online (MMO) environment, offering unparalleled immersion and scale.
Guides
The wild zones of Wildgate are crawling with threats—both alien and relentless—guarding their points of interest with brute force, challenges, or bosses. From aggressive drones and corrupted fauna to deadly environmental hazards, every corner of the map challenges your survival instincts.
A Unique Universe and a hope for MMOs

Star Citizen is still in a development phase, but has gained a lot more features and stability over the years. There are a large amount of places to explore, enemies to combat, and fortunes to be amassed.
Star Citizen has gotten a bad wrap for its unconventional monetization and funding. Despite its criticism, that model has allowed for a massive amount of development to happen, and inventing their technology that they need to create the game.
That said, players should be encouraged to check out Star Citizen depending on your tolerance for bugs. Stability has grown, and servers are larger than ever with more to do, but its not full production optimization yet. The graphics will be better than most you could experience anywhere in gaming, but the unique true next MMO we have all been waiting for is playable.
Don’t expect standard classes or leveling, you’ll be building your money and fleet as you progress. There are PvE, PvP, reputations to grind, non combat careers, and guilds doing crazy events.
Checking our getting started guide for more details. But the main reason to check out Star Citizen is its a truly unique MMO that will hit differently than anything you’ve tried. If you have the patience for development phase as it gets closer to 1.0, I highly suggest you get a small starter ship and join us in the Verse!
